Tue, 14 February 2006 Oily and Thumbs consume a case of energy drinks and take things to the extreme! Woo!Comments[0] |
Tue, 10 January 2006 In this Electronic Fez video pod-cast, the Banana Convention gets back on theme and uses Bongo our resident simian to illustrate one of life's more common metaphors via "Euphemism Theater."Comments[0] |
Tue, 10 January 2006 Mocking the movie biz is easy. Is it funny? I'm not so sure anymore. When the most humourous thing to come out this skit is a silly mis-spelling of the word "Approved", then one has to wonder.
Nice job Thumbs Harvey!

Sat, 31 December 2005 Thumbs Harvey from the Banana Convention helms the lens and directs an homage to blockbuster Hollywood "issue" movies and his love of Pac-Man.
This video podcast is called "Searching Eight Miles for GoodWill Forester."
That's the punch line, now you just need to sit through the 7 minutes of set-up...Comments[0] |
Sat, 31 December 2005 In this short Electronic Fez Podcast #5, we stray away from the music for a short bit and throw some video at y'all. Here's a few members of the Banana Convention and their friends acting silly just for you.
The clip is called: "The Credible Hulk"

Tue, 18 October 2005 Thumbs Harvey finds an old record player and decides to to a podcast using a few 33's from his record collection. The record player sounds awful, but he records a 55 minute podcast anyway.Comments[0] |
Mon, 9 May 2005 Oily McBride Jr. tries the microphone on our 3rd installment of the Electronic Fez. It's a great concept for a pod-cast: regional bands that the Banana Convention has shared the stage with. Groovy. Question is, can Oily pull off the technical gig of a pod-cast? Thumbs is there to try and help him (harass him?) as Jr. presents an ultra-cool song mix that include tracks of love, space pirates, lyrics sung in french, spoken word profanity, and tele-marketers. With bands like Colieda, Sprout and the Orange, Satin Peaches, The Esperantos, Strategia and Buckra, it's a rocking hour of mid-west fun.Comments[1] |
Tue, 26 April 2005 The Second Edition Of The Electronic Fez, as hosted by The Banana Convention's "Groovy" Palms O'Poodertoot. This week's edition is a focus on not only the band's music, but on the retro tastes of Pood's music collection; Songs ranging from The Cure to Ohio Express. Come and listen to 40 minutes of fun and good tunes as brought to you by The Banana Convention's bad-boy bassist.Comments[1] |
Sun, 10 April 2005 Here's the first attempt at our idea for a podcast. We're calling it the "Electronic Fez."
Episodes will come about once a week and focus on the music stuff that surrounds the Michigan BubbleGum Band "The Banana Convention." We're talkin' about tunes that us bandmates listen to, stuff we've recorded, practice demos, live events. Hey, whatever we find interesting really. Not sure of our format yet, it may switch around from time to time...but click the ipod, take a listen and see what ya think!
